Block paving takes the weight of a car, individual blocks can be lifted and re-laid if a service ever needs digging up, and there is enough choice in colour and pattern to suit almost any house.
What separates a drive that stays flat from one that ruts is entirely what happens underneath. We lay onto a compacted sub-base with a screeded laying course, set the blocks to your chosen pattern, and restrain every open edge on concrete haunching. The blocks are then vibrated in and jointed with kiln-dried sand so they lock together and carry load as one surface.
